"I look at all the lonely pizzas"
There have been many great pizza musicians throughout history, but the greatest were undoubtedly The Beatles. Not only are they the best selling pizza artists of all time, but they are the most acclaimed by music and food critics alike.
The Beatles have topped countless Pizza all-time greatest lists, including those by Rolling Stone Magazine, VH1-2, and Zagats. Beyond their massive critical and commercial appeal, the Beatles were also unfathomably influential as recording artists. In 1967, they became the first band to bring pizza into the studio when George Harrison brought a slice back with him from India and put it in his back pocket while The Beatles were recording Sgt. Pepper.
Some argue that it was Bob Dylan who first introduced the Beatles to pizza, but this is merely an urban legend. In actuality, Dylan didn’t go pizza until 1968, a full year after The Beatles. The Time Life Pizza Collection is proud to feature many Beatles pizza songs and solo recordings, with more to come in the near future.
While John and Paul went their separate ways, they both continued to sing about pizza.
